3.75. Great service, nice restaurant and food came out super quick. I just wasn't really floored by anything. If I lived out in Katy I'd probably come here but I don't foresee myself making the drive here. The roti was good and the calamari pretty good could be crispier. The rice noodles were decent nothing special. The sui mai were good. Basil chicken was uninspired. Really didn't like the chili prawns, very sweet sauce and not what I was expecting. The pea shoots were worth getting. Never really had Malaysian food maybe it's not my bag.

Came in on a Friday evening around 530, seated immediately, Dress code: casual Food 4/5: ordered the roti, vegetarian curry and the beef rendang. Curry and roti were both amazing, beef rendang was good but could have been more tender Service 5/5: I think our servers name was Mai, very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. Very attentive but not intrusive Ambiance 4/5: casual eatery ambiance, very chill and relaxed but nothing that wowed Value 3/5: not necessarily great value but pricing was reasonable for what they offer Parking: shared parking lot

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night and were able to get a table within 10 minutes of arriving even though the restaurant was pretty packed. It's a pretty big space with lots of tables and a good amount of bar seating as well. Our waitress greeted us right away, took our drink and appetizer orders, and the food and drinks came out pretty quickly. We ordered the Malay Iced Milk Tea and the Pineapple Ginger to drink, Roti with Chicken Curry Dip to start, and the Malaysian Chicken Curry and Beef Rendang for entrees. The Malay Milk Tea was delicious - strong black tea flavor, creamy and sweet from the condensed milk. The Pineapple Ginger was light and refreshing. The Roti was light and flaky. The Chicken Curry Dip had a good amount of meat and good flavor. The texture was very smooth, but as the dish cooled, it turned a bit gummy. Not sure what made it have this texture, but I'm guessing it was supposed to be thick so it would cling to the roti. The Malaysian Chicken Curry entree didn't do this and the texture was a lot lighter than the dip. The Beef Rendang and the Green Beans were the standouts of the meal. The beef was so tender and the flavor was excellent. Green beans were fresh and crisp and were coated with a light garlic sauce. All the portion sizes were huge and we ended up taking a lot of leftovers home. They even gave me the rest of my Milk Tea to-go in a sealed cup, which I really appreciated. After reading up on the place, I learned that the chef was a semi-finalist for a James Beard Award in 2022. The restaurant is still super affordable and low-key/casual, which is nice because you get to enjoy really amazing Malaysian cuisine that is very authentic and accessible at a good price-point. Definitely will be coming back.

I came to eat some quality food and this restaurant did not disappoint. I ordered their roti canai, award winning kerabu prawn, and iced Malay milk tea. All the dishes were extremely rich in flavor. The iced Malay milk tea actually tastes very similar to a hong kong milk tea, which I absolutely love. Service is good and the restaurant is roomy, with a bar in the middle of the restaurant. It is definitely worth checking out!
